Flaw Detector
Flaw detectors use ultrasonic technology to pass sound waves through
metals, composites, plastics, and ceramics to identify anomalies such as
cracks, voids, and softness. In ultrasonic testing, a transducer is
used to both create vibrations and receive the echo that returns, and
the returning signal can be converted into a waveform pattern to be
analyzed. Common applications include aerospace, oil and gas and power
generation.
